Sheet metal relief.

Type smreliefcreate in the command bar. When you select a corner it is highlighted in the graphics area. When sheet metal makes a transition from a bend to a flat surface or to another bend it tends to rip and tear. Under corners click collect all corners to list all corners in the sheet metal body.

Select a hard edge bend face flange face or 3d solid entire model. In sheet metal a bend relief is an incision cut along the sides of a planned bend. Select an item see the note below. Choose create relief in the sheet metal menu.

You can add a corner relief to a single sheet metal body. In the corner relief propertymanager under scope select the sheet metal body to which to apply the corner relief. Click corner relief sheet metal toolbar or insert sheet metal corner relief. Enter relief size by bend radius ratio or force bend reliefs.

Lets you select the sheet metal body to which the corner relief is applied. Though bend relief lengths and widths vary between projects they all share a common goal. Lists corners to which you can apply corner relief. Synchronous sheet metal is pretty cool even cooler than just normal synchronous modeling if you ll excuse that word.

When you apply a relief option to the selected corner the list shows the option applied. Do one of the following. Preventing tearing and part deformation during the bending process.
