Repair Leak By Awning Rail

Not the same problem but in case others have suffered leaks along the awning rail we had a similar problem with a new sunncamp ultima 180.

The user must push out any trapped air bubbles. You get 2 sachets of repair solution 5g 2 x repair tape patches 75mm diameter and 1 reel of repair tape 500mm. Wash the awning with a mixture of warm water. Now lift away the awning rail remember they bend very easily.

If the user positions the tape incorrectly it is best not to pull up the tape and then reposition it. This is a quick video showing what i used to seal repair my caravan from damp. To apply the awning tape the user should push the tear together while the fabric rests on a flat surface and then apply a length of tape. Started off as usual removing the trim from the front lower awning rail. The surface must be free of dirt grease oil rust tar and any other contaminant that will inhibit a proper seal. Clean the area surrounding the leak.
