4 remove the door completely by fully unscrewing the brackets on top. The door should slide right out of the top track once you ve freed it from the bottom track. Step 3 remove the stationary panel. On some sliding doors the brackets are only used to adjust the height of the door and the wheels are just hanging on the track.

Then tilt it slightly with help and remove it from the upper track of the door frame as well. Remove the outside closet door by first sliding the door to the center of the track. Grab the bottom of the door and give it a little swing to make sure it has been disengaged from the bottom track. Once this is complete repeat the process with the inside closet door.

Keep lowering the panel until it is completely out of the upper track and free. Remove the door by pulling it out of the top track of the door frame. If the bottom of the door won t come off of the track unscrew all of the brackets off of the bottom and then try it again. 2 slide the closet doors so one is directly in front of the other.

In order to remove the sliding one effectively lift it upwards into the upper track and ask a helper to push the bottom gently and carefully toward you. Then angle the door towards you and pull gently detaching the door from its top track. Next carefully lift the door up at a slight angle to remove the bottom rollers from the track.
